Boxing Day 2019

Did you know that Boxing Day was not originally a shopping holiday? According to some sources, Boxing Day was more similar to Giving Tuesday. The day after Christmas, people would give alms to the poor on the Feast of Stephen. The Feast of Stephen is even the context for the song Good King Wenceslas.

So instead of consuming more on Boxing Day this year, it is a good time for us to reflect on what we can share with those in need. Our focus can shift from the deals that we can get to the value that we can share. And if we are pursuing deals for the sport of it, we can pursue deals that benefit others, not ourselves.

Enjoy boxing day, and I hope that you find ways to share from the abundance that you have.
