You are in charge of your project. You are the control tower or emergency vehicle dispatcher. It is your job to know what is going on with your project. You must also be ready to tell people what they should be doing next.

If you listen to air traffic controllers and pilots in conversation, you will notice that there is never (rarely) any emotion or excitement about what they are saying. they are simply sharing factual information. In the most serious situations, you only hear calm voices from the controllers. (examples here)

You should have the same approach when it comes to your projects. Tell people what to do. Help them safely achieve their goals. Be clear in your instructions, but firm in your requests.

Be a good dispatcher or controller when you are directing your projects. It is your responsibility and your job.
