There are two types of long weekends that you might experience.
The first is the long-weekend, where you have an extra day or two off from work. You get to spend extra time resting, relaxing, and doing whatever you want.
On the other hand, you can have a weekend that feels long because you simply were working all weekend. There isn’t even a chance to think about what you would do with your extra time, because there is none.
No matter which type of long weekend you have, make sure that you balance the following week of work accordingly. If you are refreshed, take on a project that has been an obstacle for a long time. If you are worn down, pace yourself so that you can be effective in the week ahead. Be self-aware and take advantage of rest when you can.
