- You can have too much Halloween candy.
- You can eat too many chips.
- You can have one too many drinks with your friends.
- You can eat too much birthday cake.
Sometimes you can too much of a good thing. Occasionally over-indulging tips the scale just beyond it being good and becoming harmful.
There are some things that you can never have too much of:
- Support for another
But don’t fall into the trap of adding too much of something in the name of one of these attributes.
It is never too much to try to keep understanding another person(empath.) It is too much when you start to carry the other person’s burdens as your own, even though you never should own them.
It is never too much to try to help people live as full of a life as possible (love.) But it becomes too much if you fall into the trap of doing everything for them and therefore imprison them in a cycle of aid and hand-outs.
There is no limit to goodness. Don’t make the way you express goodness cross the line of “too much.”
