Millions of lines of code.
Thousands, if not hundreds of thousands, of person-hours spent.
Millions of dollars.
Lives changed.
Lives disrupted.
Lives destroyed.
Lives restored.

But if there is a problem, this problem is quickly multiplied to every user.

There is no thesis to this blog post, just a chance for me to stop by the side of the road and point at something that you should pause and think about for a moment.

Think about the accomplishment, blood, sweat, tears, intelligence, ignorance, frustration, leadership, cowardice, money and innovation that went into the software that you are using today.
