I’m just starting a data journey related to non-profits. We all want to be better at the work that we do, As I learn I will share from time to time insights about what I am learning. Here are some of my learnings that you might find interesting:
- The T3010 is an annual filing that each charity is required to make. You can find data from the submitted T3010s here. The last data posted is from 2016. If you want to look up the current status of a specific charity, you can look it up here.
- At the end of Q4 in 2016 there were 36,256,107 people in Canada.
- In 2016 the Gross Domestic Product of Canada was $1.697 Trillion(pg 7). (If you Google Canada GDP 2016 it will tell you that the GDP was $1.5 Trillion – the difference is that Stats Can provides the numbers in Canadian dollars, and Google gave me USD.)
These are simply facts.
After I do some more fact gathering, I will share some analysis.
After the analysis, we can find insights together.
