Strategy Is A Long-Term Game

Having a strategy is a long-term game. When you set your strategy, you aren’t telling yourself every single specific step that you will take. You are communicating the repeated actions and attitudes that you will adopt under every circumstance.

A strategy could be:

  • the customer will always be taken care of
  • efficiency is the most important indicator
  • we will fight for the most market share possible

A strategy is your hypothesis in action. If we keep on doing this repeated set of attitudes, then we will have good results.

A strategy always has a goal at its end. If you don’t have a clear goal that you want to acheive, or a hill that you want to win, you don’t have a strategy.
