The Five Questions To Ask Yourself Daily

Agile is an approach to delivering projects in one small increment at a time. The Agile approach is most popular in software development, but it is used in many different aspects of production and creation.

One of the staples of Agile methodology is the daily meeting. In this meeting, the team members answer three questions. These three questions are the same three questions that you should answer daily for any business, project, or even generally for your life.

Before you start with the three Agile questions you must start with the two framing questions:

  1. What is my number one goal and priority?
  2. Why does that matter?

Then you can ask these three questions:

  1. What did I do yesterday?
  2. What will I do today?
  3. What is standing in my way?

If you answer these five questions daily, you will find your thoughts and work shaped by your goals, your bigger vision, and precisely what you are trying to accomplish.

My Journey Podcast

You might be aware of the FortyFour-Three Daily podcast where I answer a question about project management every day. You can listen to it pretty much everywhere that you can find podcasts.

Since I’m in the middle of my FortyFour-Three journey, I think that it is time to start another podcast. This one will be a more personal podcast. I want to document my journey to reaching my goals. It will be a simple format: every day I will answer the five questions. I hope that this will paint a picture of how the business that I am building.

Because I don’t know how much work it will be for me to maintain this personal podcast, I will start by committing to publishing it for just one month. The podcast will begin on March 1, 2019, and I will give my status updates daily until March 31, 2019. At that time I’ll let you know if I can continue to keep going.
