You Don’t Run Out of Things To Say

[Interesting Fact Saturday]

I started blogging regularly on November 3, 2018. It has been 139 consecutive days of blogging.

Seth Godin says that you should create something every day. That’s the purpose of this blog. I wanted to start creating and giving away knowledge. I have to admit that even though it is hard to see that I am getting to my outcome (providing safety and significance for people), I can see that creating something every day has propelled me forward. Some of the things that I have done during this time are:

I can’t say that I have hit a gold mine yet. I’m not making any money, but I am seeing the value of creating something every day. I don’t know what the next 140 days will bring, but I’m sure that I will learn more. If I had to dream about what it would look like, I would hope that I could say that I:

  • Focused my topics to be more helpful to people
  • Targeted a group of people who I could help, and started them asking questions about what they need.
  • Have a few MVPs based on what people have said that they need
  • Start to have a trickle of revenue to validate my MVPs and other offerings.

I am starting to see that I have to be more helpful in my blog posts, and anything else that I do. I want to find out how to do this more in the next 140 posts.

I would agree with Seth Godin’s idea to make something every day. Just start working on it. Make it happen because you can.

The Most Interesting Fact

The most interesting thing about this journey so far: I haven’t run out of things to say. I’ve had some times when I sat down and seemed to run into boring topics, but it always seems to turn around. Start today. You don’t run out of things to say.
